ARTIST STATEMENT
I am interested in combining reality with illusion.
The reality, as I photograph it,
becomes the possible alternative to the true reality.
Still, my pictures have their foundations
in the everyday life of the people I meet.
I portray people I know or meet along the way,
based on what they have shared with me
before we take the picture.
I always look for people
who identify themselves with my projects.
My work is about creating a new memory
to the people I meet.
The picture is created
from a private performance
that challenges the person participating in the process.
The concept of identity and
the way people are influenced by society interests me.
I am curious about the subconscious
and of the feelings accumulated underneath the surface.
In the end, it is all about being true to your self.
